Video
The video (DVD and VHS) compiles archive film footage of music and dance in rural and urban Egypt of the 1970s and 1980s - an important record and a chance to see some of the traditions that underly the dance today.

Introduction: In spite of the title we classify this CD as being mainly lively Baladi melodies and songs with two Sharqi pieces ‘Lisaa Fakir’ and ‘Fakkarouni’ plus a brief ney taqasim. Good quality instrumentation with vocals by Fatme Serhan.
